10 Favourite Eyeshadows

A generic but interesting post to start me off, my favourite eye shadows of all time. These are all going to be higher end brands mainly because any of the 'drugstore' make-up I buy I tend to immediately depot and put into palettes to save space, I shall show this in a later blog and perhaps a video but not all, in fact barely any, of my make-up is this high end, this is stuff I have collected over years.

10. Sketch (Mac)

I am quite sure that all make-up enthusiasts will have heard of this colour. It is a deep purple with slight golden shimmer, perfect for the crease or to add depth to a look. One of my first ever mac shadows, it has lastest me the longest time.

9. X (Urban Decay Pigment)

A deep gold colour with a dazzling shimmer, not really a good look for day time but phenomenal for the night, I managed to pick this up at a make-up outlet, one of the greatest bargains ever.

8. No. 44 (Barry M Dazzle Dusts)

I find this to be an excellent dupe for 'Rushmetal' which is a limited edition pigment by mac (I will swatch them beside eachother), except it is much less flakey. The strength of this colour is amazing, you need so little of it to make a huge impact, be wary of fallout, the glitter will never leave your face if you aren't careful.

7. Sweetjoy (Mac)

I find this to be a slightly creamier and better pigmented version of shroom, sadly it is limited edition with the Venemous Villans collection, part of the Cruella Devil set. I use it sparingly but with having such pale skin it is the perfect all over lid colour and I adore it.

6. Bronze (Mac)

The creamiest, richest brown I have ever found. This eyeshadow in my opinion is a must for every make-up collection. It has a gold shimmer to it but it is not overpowering, it is also one of the most pigmented mac shadow I have bought yet.

5. Midnight Cowboy (Urban Decay)

A shimmery nude with tons of silver glitter in it, I rocked this as an everyday shadow but it might be too glittery for some. Be wary of fallout, it is crazy.

6. Vert (Urban Decay)

Shimmery green. This is my favourite green ever, I bought this eyeshadow when I was like 13, I have used to frequently and I still haven't ran out. That amazes me. This looks so good with brown eyes.

5. Shimmermoss (Mac)

This to me is 'Verts' blue cousin, same consistency only in a blue tone with a golden sheen, I use this as an eyeliner all the time, again beautiful with brown eyes.

4. Jardin Aires (Mac Pigment)

This is another limited edition, it was in a pigment pack for christmas 2010. It is the most stunning neutral shade but packed with glitter and shimmer which in case you haven't noticed is something I love. The colour itself is a peachy nude and the glitter is gold. Beautiful.

3. Vanilla (Mac Pigment)

I only just bought this and I am already addicted. It is such a beautiful colour and I am sure you all know it well. Extraordinarily versatile and just perfect. I have pressed this into my mac palette because I use it as a highlight so much.

2. Shroom (Mac)

I am on my third pan of this colour, it's my everyday go to all over colour. A must have for those starting out a mac collection, definitely worth that extra money.

1. Motif (Mac)

I will cry the day this runs out. It is a duo-chrome, yellow with a pink sheen. I have no idea what collection it is from as I got it at a discount store but all I know is when it runs out...it is gone forever.

Note: Due to me having depotted most of these I have borrowed pictures from other sites, mainly from the wonder temptalia's site which is a must see for all make-up lovers.

Entering the land of blogging...

As with every other teenage girl out there, or so it seems, I have become obsessed by all things make-up and beauty. While I may not have as much make-up as many of the gurus out there, nor do I have as much experience I do have some serious passion for it. Although getting offers from several universities (Colleges for you yanks out there) I have decided to at least attempt to pursue coming a make-up artist. This blog is sort of to document how far I have come and how I will progress in the future, I would love to be able to share the thing I love with other people who feel the same way and hopefully I'll be able to help some of you guys, learning from each-other is the best way to go. I will specialize in make-up for those like myself, super pale with shocking red hair. How not to look orange, what foundations are actually light enough for us, what colours suit us best but I like to think I could teach a little something to everyone.

Please check back regularly to see what is going on, it would be much appreciated and I will answer any questions I get :)
